Edgar Maranta Nursing School

 

Edgar Maranta School of Nursing is the result of merging of two nursing schools which are; General Nursing Diploma Upgrading Course and Edgar Maranta School of Nursing. General Nursing Upgrading Course (GNDUC) was established in September 1994 with the purpose of upgrading Grade “B” Nurses to Grade “A” nurses through the course of two years duration, providing them with a diploma in general nursing and psychiatry or midwifery. The eligible candidates were those who had nursing certificates such as public health nurse, general nurse or midwives “B” with a minimum of three years of working experience.

Edgar Maranta School of Nursing is a faith based institution owned by the Catholic Diocese of Ifakara.
EMSN is fully registered by NACTE (REG/HAS/050) and recognized by Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council (TNMC) as a training institution.
